Every adventure has a beginning, and mine started at 17 with my very first international trip to Germany. I never imagined that one journey would inspire a lifelong love of travel, but from that moment on, I knew I wanted to keep exploring and seeing the world through my own eyes.

I'm a solo traveler, adventurer, and the creator behind Outwith Freckles. My dream is simple: to explore the world, embrace new experiences, and inspire others to step outside their comfort zone.

My journey officially began in 2024 when I bought my first vehicle and overhead truck camper. Since then, I've been building a life centered around freedom, discovery, and unforgettable adventures. Every road leads to a new story, and every destination offers something worth experiencing.

Whether I'm exploring scenic backroads, discovering hidden gems, or taking on a new outdoor adventure, I believe the best memories are made by saying yes to the unknown.

Meet Katarina

I was born deaf into a hearing family and wear cochlear implants. Growing up taught me that everyone experiences the world a little differently, and for me, it's always been about paying attention to what I can see, feel, and experience. That unique perspective has shaped who I am and how I tell my stories.

I've always loved learning new things and challenging myself. Whether I'm building my camper, figuring out a new piece of technology, flying my drone, or planning my next adventure, I'm happiest when I'm creating, exploring, and solving problems along the way.

My background in film and fine arts sparked my love for visual storytelling, and today I use those skills to capture the places I visit through photos, videos, and stories.

I've lived a nomadic life, born in Arizona and moving to California, Texas, and finally Arkansas. But one thing remained constant - my childhood dream of becoming an art director.

IT ALL START HERE

Since I started studying to become an art director, I noticed that my goals had changed, and I wasn't happy with where I was at, working a 9-to-5 job as if it were the normal thing to do. I knew I wanted a change.

REALIZATION

I took a moment to reflect on my aspirations. I jotted down my newfound dreams and goals, and in that instant, I knew exactly how I wanted to propel myself forward.

CHANGE

Although it was tough, I took the leap and worked hard to finance my truck and overhead camper. Ultimately, I achieved my goal!

Currently, I work full-time as a Parts Associate and Digital Media Creator, combining my hands-on skills with my passion for creativity and storytelling.
Since completing my university certificate in woodworking, I’ve continued building my skills by working alongside an experienced business owner in the carpentry industry. I’ve also learned a great deal through online resources like YouTube, which have helped me understand how to design, build, and troubleshoot more complex systems.
